FLOWER GARDEN NUMBERS GAME

MR. MAILMAN
Have your child pretend to be the mailman and fix him some shape boxes. Tell him he is going to deliver the mail and that the shapes are the people's address. He needs to make sure he gets the mail to the right houses. Take some small boxes and cut some a hole in the tops of them. Place a shape on the front of the boxes. Make some cards out of card stock and tape or glue on matching shape pictures. Give your child a small cloth bag or paper bag to put the "mail" in and then let him deliver his mail.
MAKE A PUZZLE
Find a few objects around the house. Such as a spoon, a coaster, tooth brush, and milk cover. Can be anything. And place these onto a piece of sturdy paper and trace their outline. Then trace over the out line with a black marker. Place the objects next to the picture and have your child put the object onto their outline. The older the preschooler the harder you want to make this. With more objects and smaller objects.
MATCH THE PICTURES!
Purchase some circle stickers from wal-mart in the office section. I used a piece of red card stock paper for the base. I took a piece of blue card stock paper to make the squares. I folded the paper and then cut the fold lines. I folded the yellow paper one more time and then cut the fold lines. I placed circle stickers on the top of the squares and the matching cards. Tape or glue around 3 sides leaving a pocket for the children to slip the matching card into each pocket.
SAND TABLE
Make an inside sand box for your child. Instructions will be included for this fun winter activity.
MAGNETIC SHAPES
Cut out two sets of shapes. Tape or glue one set to a large piece of poster board. Or you could use a file folder. Place magnetic tape on the backs and tape the poster board to the refrigerator. Have your child match the shapes. If using a file folder use velcro instead. Place a piece of velcro on each piece.

Just print onto card stock paper (which you can pick up at Wal-mart for about 3.00 - 4.00 for 150 sheets). To make the games more durable you can cover them with clear contact paper. Attach magnetic tape or velcro to the games to make them even more fun to use. By attaching velcro the game pieces will stick to the game board or by using magnetic tape you can place the game board on the refrigerator, magnetic board, or a metal pan or a felt board to make the games even more interesting for your preschooler.
Plus there are printable coloring pages for your preschooler to color. There are also work sheets to print out for your child to use.

This is a view of one of my caterpillar coloring page. This file also has five other pages to color, showing some of the foods the caterpillar is going to eat, such as one apple, two pears, etc. This is a nice activity to print out after reading the story "The hungry caterpillar" to your child. This is a fun pre reading puzzle game. Preschoolers will match the pictures together with words that rhyme. This is another math activity. Print out the mice cards and the number game board. Then have your preschooler count the mice and match it to the numbers on the game board.
Bunny Shape Game
This is another math game activity. Print out two of the bunny shape game cards, cut one card apart to use as game cards to match to the game board. Have your child match the game pieces to the game board, by matching the shapes on the bunnies. Just print out the file onto card stock paper.
